Peru trip

This is a picture of a typical Inca style street in the town of Ollayantaytambo. Note in the middle of the street a small ditch for drainage.

Here we all are, facing south. In the background is Machu Picchu and the towering Huayna Picchu which Paul and I hiked.

This is a picture of one of the Inca doorways that we found in Ollayantaytambo. How they carved these rocks so precisely and installed them is beyond me.
Here we are at Lake Titicaca on a boat build of reeds. Beautiful day. We will have to show you all of the pictures when the opportunity arises.
The above picture is Paul and Grady at the top of Huayna Picchu, looking down on Machu Pichu. Fortunately for me, Paul carried my pack over half of the way. It seemed to me that I hiked 15 seconds and rested for two minutes. It took me one hour and 5 minutes to scale the top. Coming down was a piece of cake until my right leg decided to cramp up. This caused me to walk down most of the way sideways to put most of the strain on the left leg. But it was worth it.
Just a few images from our trip to Peru, Dec. 23 through Jan. 1 where we spent a few days traveling with Paul and Kristy.
